Dr. Fineberg:
On March 19, 2007, Vaccine
Autoimmune Project published “How Mercury Was Absolved: Creativity,
Collusion and Censorship,” by Jeffrey Allen Trelka, M.Ed. For your
convenience, if you have not read his work, visit
http://www.vaproject.org/trelka/how-mercury-was-absolved-20070319.htm.
Therein Trelka clearly
points out fatal flaws in the Madsen study “Thimerosal and the Occurrence of
Autism: Negative Ecological Evidence From Danish Population-Based Data”
published by PEDIATRICS in 2003, due to, “changes in participant
selection methods, expansion of cohort populations completed mid-study, and
changes in diagnostic grouping.” Madsen’s seemingly purposeful pollution of
the raw data and bungling of the statistics completely invalidates the
paper’s epidemiological findings.
Further, evidence is
provided that exposes collusion between the CDC and PEDIATRICS to get
Madsen’s misinformation published in the first place.
As would be considered
appropriate, Trelka requested the AAP journal publish his powerful critique,
but he was rebuked.
We and the public are
beginning to see a pattern. Agencies such as yours have worked together to
prop up a failed study and have broadly used coordinated misinformation
tactics to make claims that the data indicates something it does not.
We urge you to very publicly
denounce the Madsen study. As appears to be a periodic practice, please
contact PEDIATRICS to “recommend” that they withdraw the study and
publish Trelka’s findings.
It is in your best interest
to take these actions urgently so that you may appear to be proactively
doing what is right. More and more damning information will be widely
circulated.
This letter will be
distributed worldwide. A letter will be sent to the Editor of PEDIATRICS
which will be similarly distributed.
Sincerely,
Barbara Labrecque
